leather

when our new lds family social worker came over today she was surprised that i didn't look more like a leather wearing lady. the truth is: a mother in leather isn't appealing or practical. the truth is: i loved wearing leather long before i ever dreamed of riding a motorcycle.

when i was in high school i got a job at a leather clothing store. soon after i started working there they changed the name and image. all of a sudden i was employed by an more upper scale leather clothing store. the clothes were more fashionable than biker. i was fine with that.

i worked there and spent most of my money on leather clothing until i went on my mission to southern france. leather and the Lord don't have to be like oil and water. women can be classy in leather and suede... but it's not the most practical material.

my only piece of leather right now is a jacket and a couch (which i love!).
