today we became foster parents. wow. what an emotional and unexpected trip... even if we've been planning this for months. we just didn't know who we would foster parent and when. our foster child is a sweet 18 month old girl. as a stay-at-home-mom who has yearned for another child to bless our home, i feel like i have become a contributing member of society. ;) i know i was one before... but i feel a renewed purpose in my life.
azure loves it. we keep reminding her that caroline won't be here forever. this saddens her every time. but, it feels good to have a foster sister. i love the way they make each other laugh. i love the way azure helps her when caroline is getting frustrated. foster parenting has been a blessing and growing experience for all the members of our family.
